Centre for Suicide Prevention (suicideinfo.ca) would like to present a 90 minute session on Straight Talk: Youth Suicide Prevention workshop for youth aged 12-24, and Tattered Teddies: Suicide Prevention in Children under the age of 12. An overview of both the workshops will be presented, followed by a case study to illustrate some of the principles covered within the workshop.
Kevin Hodgson has been a trainer with the Centre for Suicide Prevention since 1999, acting as a consulting trainer since 2007. Kevin has facilitated dozens of ASIST workshops, youth workshops and Tattered Teddies and was active in the development of the Tattered Teddies workshop. Kevin has also facilitated specialized trainings for foster parents, police departments, among other groups. Kevin works for Aspen Family & Community Network Society as a Program Manager, overseeing a youth portfolio including school based, employment, and out reach programming.
